Amicalola Falls is a state park in the northern part of Georgia state. It is called Amicalola Falls because of the 729 feet high waterfalls located within the park; the tallest cascading waterfalls east of the Mississippi River.
Within the park there are numerous trails, including the 2,135-mile Appalachian Trail, as well as various other shorter trails.
There is a hotel lodge within Amicalola Falls State Park, but other accommodations are available around and close by to the park.
Amicalola Falls State Park Lodge
The Amicalola Lodge is right in the state park and just walking distance away from the waterfalls.
